PV Fabrication Workshop
The program began in 2024 as an internal training program for UNSW HDR students and early-career researchers, created to strengthen practical skills in photovoltaic fabrication and device physics. With Australia’s unique suite of advanced solar manufacturing equipment housed at UNSW, we are now opening the workshop to external participants for the first time.
As Australia accelerates under the Solar Sunshot program, our goal is to contribute to the national effort by training the next generation of engineers, researchers, and innovators. The workshop focuses on core fabrication fundamentals, providing participants with a strong technical foundation to support future breakthroughs and drive the ongoing solar energy transformation.
This year, the workshop is generously supported by the Australian Academy of Sciences and the Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics (ACAP). We are also grateful to our industry partners, LONGi for the provision of wafers and Tindo Solar for supplying module materials.
